What are GVT Tiles?
GVT tiles.
GVT tiles
They are a type of vitrified tile with a digitally glazed surface, commonly used for walls and
floors because they’re durable, affordable, and available in many designs. Vitrified tiles have a hard,
glass-like layer of glaze applied to the surface before firing. This glaze acts as a canvas for high-
definition digital printing, allowing the tiles to realistically mimic natural materials like wood, marble,
stone, and granite.
Where to use?
- Residential: Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and corridors.
- Commercial: Offices, conference rooms, malls, boutiques, airports, and showrooms.
- Walls & Floor: While primarily used for flooring, they are also an excellent choice for high-traffic wall zones prone to staining.
Key Features and Benefits
- Vitrification Process: Manufactured at extreme temperatures (exceeding 1200°C), making them denser, stronger, and less porous than standard ceramic tiles.
- Design Versatility: Advanced inkjet printing technology enables thousands of colours and intricate patterns to be applied to the top layer.
- Durability: They are highly resistant to scratches, stains, and moisture, making them suitable for high-traffic areas.
- Safety Options: Available in various finishes—including matte, satin matte, and Lappato—which provide better traction and help prevent slips.
- Maintenance: Generally easy to clean with just a wet mop and soapy water.
